Valeria Troubina


Born in 1966 in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, Russia. She completed art school and the college of arts in Luhansk, then studied at the Kyiv State Art Institute. In the late 1980s–early 1990s, she joined the Paris Commune arts squat. Troubina is said to be the muse of Oleg Golosiy — in fact, the muse of the Ukrainian Transavantgarde. A painter and creator of installations and objects, she now lives and works in Ukraine and the USA.
