Artist Talk During Permanent Revolution Exhibition

14 April 2018

On April 14, Ludwig Museum in Budapest will host Ludwig Lounge, a literary meeting in the framework of Permanent Revolution exhibition. Ludwig Lounge is a new event format for the Hungarian art institution, which aims to find cross-points of art and literature, dance and music, and to combine those. The meetings are arranged in an informal setting, with wine tastings.

Ludwig Lounge

As Permanent Revolution has become the first wide-scale project presenting Ukrainian contemporary art in a European museum, Ludwig Lounge will begin from a curator’s guided tour by Viktoria Popovych who will tell about the works presented in the collection. Then, the guests will meet a famous contemporary Hungarian poet and playwright Péter Závada, one of the founders of Akkezdet Phiai, an underground band. Together with Julia Fabenyi, Ludwig Museum director in Budapest, they will discuss in an artist talk format how literature is connected with visual arts and in which circumstances they can co-exist, complementing each other.

The co-organizer of Permanent Revolution exhibition was Zenko Foundation. One of its priorities is cultural diplomacy as well as presenting Ukrainian contemporary art to the international audience.
