In total, there were over 650 applications from authors in different parts of Ukraine. All works selected for the exhibition were created especially for it. Moreover, separate space in PinchukArtCentre was allocated for each object so that the viewers could better appreciate the creative practice of each artist.

This year, PinchukArtCentre award will be handed out for the fifth time. This is the first private award in Ukraine (founded in 2009) aiming to support the young generation of Ukrainian authors. The winners of 2018 will be announced in March; the recipient of the main prize will get 250,000 UAH, and two additional special prizes will amount to 60,000 UAH each. Besides, the viewers will vote for an audience award in the sum of 25,000.
