Ukrainian stand at Art16

On 20th-22nd of May Art 16 art faif took place in London. For the first time Zenko Gallery presented there Ukrainian art. In the London First sections gallery demonstrated works of two artists - bas-relieves of Roman Minin and Nazar Bilyk’s sculpture.

“Gallery has to be at least three years old to participate in this fair, - sais art dealer and curator in Zenko Foundation Ihor Abramovich. - But for us they made an exception: that’s how much high quality of works and uniqueness of Ukrainian artists impressed them”.   

Participation in the art fair was a success. “We sold four of eight Minin’s works and Bilyk’s sculpture as well,“ - sais co-founder of Zenko Foundation and Zenko Gallery Adrian Aftanaziv. Works of Ukrainian artists will travel all over the world: they were bought by collectors from Kuwait, Hong Kong, and Great Britain.

Nazar Bilyk "Interaction"

Nazar Bilyk is a promising Ukrainian sculptor. His works are highly demanded both in Ukraine and abroad. In particularly, his 80 cm version of “Rain” was sold at Phillips for $10 000 and became the most expensive Ukrainian sculpture of 2015. At Art16 “Space Around (Interaction)” by Bilyk was sold for 7000 pounds.

Roman Minin "Carpet of Promises"

Roman Minin, who is 34, is already very successful artist. His original style and theme of miners’ work made him popular among art collectors. Based on sellings in 2015 Minin got into top 10 of most expensive now living Ukrainian artists. At Art16 his work “Carpet of Promises” was a success: the bas-relief was sold for 6000 pounds
