The “Spirit of Time” exhibition will be opened as a part of Zenko Platform

On the 22nd of October, at the art space of Zenko Foundation ("Koruna" hotel complex, Tatariv village, Ivano-Frankivsk region) will be opened the "Spirit of Time" exhibition, that will gather the artists of three generations – the key representatives of Ukrainian art from the day of regaining independence until today. The exposition will be opened as a part of Zenko Platform forum, initiated by Zenko Foundation. The platform is aimed to introduce the Ukrainian-based international cultural centers and institutions, and also the European curators and museum management with the situation at Ukrainian contemporary art scene.

The main goal of the meetings, the roundtable discussions, and the lectures will be the covering of the important processes, that contemporary Ukrainian art environment lives through. "One of the goals of any art foundation is to be a kind of a uniting force, gathering all the participants of the art scene around it", – says Zenko Afftanaziv, founder of Zenko Foundation and initiator of Zenko Platform.

The "Spirit of Time" exposition includes the works of more than 30 authors. The "new wave", which is formed right after the collapse of the USSR, represented by the art of Oleg Tistol, Ilya Chichkan, Vasyl Tsagolov, Arsen Savadov, Oleksander Roytburd and others. The "post-Orange" generation, that became known after the first Maidan, is illustrated by the works of Zhanna Kadyrova, Oleksiy Say, and others. The youngest generation, that came to prominence just a few years ago is represented by Nazar Bilyk, Roman Minin, Ivan Svitlichny, Mykyta Shaleny, Anton Logov, Stepan Ryabchenko and others. "Each of the presented works is in one way or another reflecting the "spirit of time" of the complicated and uncertain epoch, and gathered together at Zenko Foundation art space in "Koruna", they create a complete image of Ukrainian art from day of regaining independence", – explain the curators of the project, Oleksander Solovyov and Igor Abramovych.

The international Zenko Platform forum will take place from the 21 to 23rd of October, and the "Spirit of time" exhibition will be on the view till the 22nd of November.
