EXHIBITION OF WORKS FROM ZENKO FOUNDATION COLLECTION OPENING IN IVANO-FRANKIVSK

18 January 2018

On January 24 CHECH, a new art gallery in Ivano-Frankivsk, opens an exhibition of works from Zenko Foundation collection. The cooperation of the fund with Center for Contemporary Arts in Ivano-Frankivsk started in 2016 during the first cultural forum Zenko Platform. Their joint projects include CHECH, a big exhibition of western Ukrainian contemporary art which was presented in Zenko Foundation art space in Tatariv last year, cooperation at PortoFranko festival in Ivano-Frankivsk, etc.

The new exhibition gathered works of well-known Ukrainian contemporary artists: Arsen Savadov, Oleksandr Roytburd, Vasyl Tsagolov, Oleg Tistol, Maryna Skugareva, Vinni Reunov, and Viktor Sidorenko. The collection includes signature works from different years, so the exhibition aims to, first of all, familiarize the audience with the classics of Ukrainian contemporary art. “We hope that the presentation of works from Zenko Foundation collection will provoke art dialogues in the local environment and also galvanize activities of cultural institutions,” says Anatoliy Zvizhynsky, exhibition curator.
