ZENKO FOUNDATION TO SERVE AS ART PARTNER OF LVIVMOZART CLASSICAL MUSIC FESTIVAL

On August 18-25 in Lviv, International festival of classical music LvivMozArt will take place. The festival’s founder and art director is Oksana Lyniv, a Ukrainian woman considered among the best conductors in the world who is now the head conductor of opera and Philharmonic in Graz (Austria). The festival is named in honor of Franz Xaver Mozart, son of the world-famous composer Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. In the early 19th century, he lived and worked in Lviv, founding Saint Cecilia Choir Society which significantly influenced the development of the city’s music life.

Zenko Foundation has joined the initiative and became the official partner of Lviv MozArt. This is not the organization’s first collaboration in classical music field: in March, Zenko Foundation served as a partner of Tosca opera by Giacomo Puccini in Kyiv opera, and in May, of Gala Europe concert. Both projects were dedicated to the Day of Europe in Ukraine and to the 25th anniversary of diplomatic relations established between Ukraine and Italy.

The Lviv festival will unite Ukrainian and international musicians; during the seven days of the event, LvivMozArt will engage ten venues in the city. Apart from symphonic and chamber concerts of classical music, operas and performances, an exhibition Loving Music. Franz Xaver Mozart and Music Life in Lviv will open; it will present feature manuscripts, music sheets, etc.
