Church of the Sacred Heart of Jesus

The Roman Catholic Church of the Sacred Heart of Jesus was built in the 19th century and is now one of the most interesting monuments of neogothic architecture not just in Chernivtsi but all over Ukraine. The Jesuit temple was built according to the design of Chernivtsi technical school director, professor Joseph Leisner. The stained-glass windows for the church were brought from Poland, the organ was made in Germany, and three bells arrived in Ukraine from Scotland.

Unfortunately, today the church is in a dilapidated state; no reconstruction is being done, and the neogothic temple can just disappear. TRUШT project aims to change such sad situation and to draw attention to this significant architectural monument.

The curator keeps the project concept in secret and will present it on August 11 on the dot. Now it is known that TRUШT, an installation by Robert Saller, will be put up inside the temple. Before, the object was demonstrated at Show Promise, a large-scale exhibition in Lviv.
