One of the non-figurative painting pioneers in Ukrainian art of the independence era, Tiberiy Silvashi finds a sophisticated embodiment for the things non-verbal, beyond conscious mind, on the verge between a guess and a touch. In his spiritual and aesthetic search, the author experiments with different techniques adding the richness of texture and volume to the colors. The collages where the reigning mass of white explodes in waves of corrugated fiber and is disrupted with vivid splashes of color are almost tactile. Laconic and telling at the same time, they hide something between silence and speech, quiet and noise.
