Valeria Trubina is a well-known Ukrainian artist who worked with the “new wave” artists of late 1980s and early 1990s; their works are traditionally attributed to global postmodernism. Valeria’s creative practice is free from any social or political trends and instead aims at ethical and aesthetical categories: spirituality in art, artist’s responsibility, and beauty as the ultimate value. Second Entrance, a telling example of the artist’s recent works, is a result of sensual nature exploration, an attempt to use contemplation to penetrate the world of all-immersing beckoning force, which opens new edges of reality perception.
