The Meaning of Miner’s Work is a sketch of a big monumental painting about a key topic in Roman Minin’s creative practice, i.e., the life of Donbass miners. The composition stretching horizontally like an old register is filled with details, and all elements are closely connected with each other, transforming one into another seamlessly. In his extended visual tale full of different symbols, mostly Christian, the author speaks in the language of images about the importance of a miner’s work and the dramatic character of his fate.
